On 9 November 2007, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank is issuing a silver collector coin with a face value of HUF 5,000 to celebrate the Great Reformed Church of Debrecen.

The interior of the Great Reformed Church of Debrecen, with the organ, the pulpit and the Lord’s Table, is shown on the obverse of the coin. On the reverse there is a depiction of the Great Church.

The coin is designed by Emma Sz. Egyed.

The collector coin is made of .925 fine silver, weighs 31.46 grams, and has a diameter of 38.61 mm as well as a flower petal rim and an interrupted milled edge.

A total of 10,000 coins can be struck, of which 6,000 are produced using the special proof technology.

The coins can be purchased from the Hungarian Mint (Budapest, Könyves Kálmán körút 38) as well as the shop in the Magyar Nemzeti Bank’s Visitor Centre, and are available at face value for three months from their date of issue.
