Metallic reproductions of forint coins may be produced without authorisation by the MNB if
- the reproduction either does not bear the ‘forint’ designation if its denomination is shown or the denomination does not appear if the ‘forint’ designation is shown, and
- the size of the reproduction is outside the reference range specified in the Annex of the MNB Decree on the reproductions of forint coins, or
- the size of the reproduction is within the reference range specified in the Annex of the MNB Decree on reproductions of forint coins, provided that

its material composition is different from the material composition specified for the specific diameter range in the Annex of the MNB Decree on reproductions of forint coins, and
-
the combination of the diameter and edge height of the reproduction is clearly and unambiguously outside the diameter and edge height ranges specified in the Annex of the MNB Decree on reproductions of forint coins.
No permission is required by the MNB to metallic reproductions of forint coins containing both the denomination and the ‘forint’ designation if
- the reproduction is pierced in the centre with a hole of over 6 millimetres or if its shape is polygonal but not exceeding six edges, or
- the reproduction is made of a precious metal substance, in compliance with the applicable hall-marking rules.
In addition to the above, no permission is required by the MNB for non-metallic reproductions of forint coins and other forint con reproductions made for illustration purposes of paper or other non-metallic substances, and the reproductions of forint coins made available through electronic means, on an Internet website, by a wire-based or wireless device.
