Each year Magyar Nemzeti Bank (the central bank of Hungary) offers 6 to 10 Summer Visiting Researcher Positions to young researchers, advanced PhD students and ESCB researchers.
The goal of the Summer Visiting Researcher Program is to support research projects relevant for the general interests of MNB and to enhance cooperation between young scholars and researchers of the Bank. The duration of the program is usually 1 to 3 months. During their stay at the Bank, visiting researchers pursue a well-defined topic of their choice, preferably in collaboration with researchers at MNB. Results are published in the MNB Working Paper series. In addition, MNB encourages and supports the submission of results to refereed journals.
