The Interbank Clearing System (ICS) operated by the GIRO Elszámolásforgalmi Zrt. carries out implementation of high volume transactions (credit transfer, direct debit etc.) with low individual values between the credit institutions. The services provided by the ICS are essential for the economy, therefore, the MNB classified the system as an “important payment system in terms of the system”. The MNB continuously monitors and oversees the operation of the ICS.
The Interbank Clearing System works permanently reliably, in accordance with the expectations, and, due to the redundant solutions applied, in the past period it was able to provide 100% availability.
