The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB), has been at the disposal of investors and analysts for years. Taking into account the growing number of this type of meetings and the requirement to provide information in a uniform manner, the MNB organises meetings with investors and analysts according to the following guidelines:
1. Generally, three types of meetings can be arranged for investors and analysts on one occasion:
- one meeting with senior management (i.e. with the Governor or one of the Deputy Governors)
- one meeting with the external members of the Monetary Council,
- one meeting with the MNB’s staff.
2. Based on preliminary notification, the MNB receives investors and analysts throughout the year. Five working days preceding the interest rate setting meeting of the Monetary Council and the publication of the Quarterly Report on Inflation are exceptions to this rule. In addition to that, no information can be provided on the messages of the Report on Financial Stability during the week prior to the publication of such report. The external members of the Monetary Council receive investors and analysts preferably on Mondays and Tuesdays.
